Solar Panels for Lincoln Primary School

Solar Panels for Lincoln Primary School
School Reporters Isabella, Keanu,Holly and Shayna
This year we have new solar panels on the year 1 and 2 classroom roof. We received the solar panels through the Schoolgen program. Schoolgen funds schools to help them purchase solar panels.
The solar panels  cost $60000 dollars and they produce 20kw of power. The solar panels face north because the sun raises in the east and sets in the west so the sun is to the north during the day. That is why the solar panels face north!
The sun is always shining so the solar panels create power even on a cloudy day.
Check out the schoolgen website to find out how much power we are generating and for more info about the schoolgen program.
